Create and organise engagements

Keep each assessment’s scope, findings and versions together.

01 / Create the engagement

From Engagements, choose the new-engagement action. Give the assessment a recognisable title, client and assessment type. Use the dates for the actual engagement period; they are report content, not a scheduled scanner job.

02 / Set scope and exclusions

Record the agreed targets, applications and environments. List exclusions separately. State whether authentication, a particular role, network access or test data constrained your work. Quill records this information; it does not perform or authorise the test.

03 / Write the context

Fill in the summary, methodology and limitations. Explain what was tested, how evidence was obtained and where conclusions are limited. Use the report-type controls to choose the intended output, and inspect the generated result.

04 / Continue safely

Wait for the saved acknowledgement before closing an editing session. Use engagement search and the archive to return to the correct draft or report. Do not assume that an older report automatically includes your latest edits.
