Choose a report purpose
Choose the output for its audience, independently of the visual design.
01 / Open Report purpose
In the engagement Overview, find Report purpose and choose the report type. This is independent of the assessment methodology and report design. Save the choice before generating another version.
02 / Technical or management
Technical reports retain detailed findings, proof, selected evidence and remediation. Management summaries omit detailed proof, attachments and retests. Review your own summary, custom chapters and scenario wording for sensitive details; selecting management output is not a universal redaction operation.
03 / Narrative or no-findings
Narrative / red-team output supports an operation story with scenarios, custom sections and a conclusion; findings are optional. A no-findings report requires the relevant conclusion, limitations and explicit confirmation before approval. It does not certify that the system is secure.
04 / Check the generated version
Generate and inspect the actual document. Existing saved versions retain their original report type. When changing the purpose, verify the content and audience of the new version rather than sending the previous export.
