Reusable engagement content

Reuse the starting structure, then make the assessment specific.

01 / Separate the reusable pieces

A report profile controls document design. An engagement template supplies supported assessment defaults. Reusable report sections provide shared chapter content. These have different jobs; choosing a visual design alone does not define the test scope.

02 / Prepare clean defaults

Use the template controls to save reusable scope, methodology, limitations, report purpose and supported defaults. Remove customer-specific identifiers, credentials, evidence and final assessment conclusions before sharing a template.

03 / Apply and tailor

Start the next engagement from the intended template and review every inherited field. Set the actual client, dates, targets, roles and exclusions. Reusing wording does not establish that the described testing occurred.

04 / Review versions independently

New engagements retain their own working content. Review the selected report profile and generate a new version when the assessment is ready. Keep existing generated reports as their original snapshots.

Illustrations use fictional Northstar / Atlas data. Interface availability depends on your role, the selected workspace and report state. Never use real customer data to reproduce a documentation example.
